前編につづき、都立高校入試の2次募集の英語を見ていこう。

◆2020年度 2次募集の大問1
2 次の(1)～(3)のA とB との対話において， □の中に入る発言と
して最もふさわしいものは，それぞれ下のア?エのうちではどれか。
(1) A: You have a nice bag. Where did you get it?
B: □ .
ア I got it last Friday
イ I can’t find my bag
ウ Your bag is larger than mine
エ At the shop in front of the station
(2) A: This table looks old but wonderful. How old is it?
B: □ .
ア It is used for dinner every night
イ I use this table once in a week
ウ I am fifty years old now
エ It was made two hundred years ago
(3) A: This is a nice guitar. □ ?
B: Sure. I hope you like it.
ア Can I try it
イ How much is it
ウ Which is your favorite one
エ When can I buy it
(1)と(2)は主語に注目すれば易しい。
(3)は一見ムズかしそうだが、「sure」は「yes」の意味がある。
yesかnoで問われた答えが「sure」なら、それは「yes」ということ。「いいよ」とか「もちろん」と訳す。
偏差値50以上の受験生なら、まず3問とも正解できるだろう。
いずれも英検4級で出そうな問題ばかり。
もし2次募集を受けることになったら、英検4級の過去問題をやってみるといい。
もう1年分も見てみよう。
◆2019年度 2次募集の大問1
2 次の(1)～(3)のA とB との対話において， □の中に入る発言と
して最もふさわしいものは，それぞれ下のア?エのうちではどれか。
(1) A: Will you join the party I’m planning for next Saturday?

ア Please come to the party
イ Sorry,I have another plan for next Saturday
ウ Of course,you will
エ The party was really nice
(2) A: □ ?
B: Yes.I’ll take you there.
ア Did you take care of your brother yesterday.
イ When will the spring vacation start
ウ Do you know where the station is
エ Can I bring you some water
(3) A: Would you like some more orange juice?
B: □ .
ア I’ve had enough,thank you
イ It looks like a museum
ウ Sure,I want some more pictures
エ No,you can do it yourself
今年(2020年度)よりも難しいな。
意味を正しく読み取れないと勘で答えるだけになってしまう。2019年度いい問題だ。
今年の問題は何だったんだろう。
(1)と(3)はyesかnoで答えられる問題なのに、解答はそうではないパターン。
(1)はyesもnoもないからいいが、(3)はSureでだまされそうになる。最後まで読めば100％間違いだと気付くだろうけど。
オレンジジュースについて聞かれてるのにピクチャーで答える。少々ヤバい奴だ。
これらも主語に注目する。youで聞かれていたらIで答える。
これが原則。
都立過去問題はここに置いてある。
2次募集の入試問題は2018年度(平成30年度)のものもある。
