都立入試英語 リスニング問題Aでも〇〇が最多出題

都立高校入試の英語は必ずリスニング5問から始まる。
国際高校を除き、自校作成校も同じリスニング問題を使う。

今回、リスニング問題の最初の3問が、何を問うものかをまとめた。
傾向を知って本番に備えよう。

◆最も多く出る疑問詞はwhat

過去14年の都立入試から集計した。①～③は対話文1～3を示している。

最も多く出ている疑問詞は「what」
What will Grace and Bob do?（2025年度）
What does Sana want Tom to do?（2025年度）
What will John and Mary buy at the supermarket?（2024年度）
What was John doing at one o’clock?（2023年度）
What does Ken want Bob to do?（2020年度）
What is Emi going to do after school today?（2018年度）
What does the weather news say about the weather for the afternoon?（2018年度）
What drink will Satoko have?（2015年度）
What subject does Ayumi like the best?（2013年度）
What time is the baseball game going to start?（2013年度）
What will Mike drink?（2012年度）

「what+名詞～」の形式は3度。2015年度のdrinkは動詞でなく名詞。
2013年度は2問とも「what+名詞～」の形式。

ここ10年は出ていないので、傾向としては「もう出ない」なのだが、次回出る可能性はある。

◆Howはごぶさた
Howは7回出ている。4年ほど空きはあったが復活した。

How old is the school now?（2022年度）
How many times has Tom been to Karuizawa?（2017年度）
How many dogs does Takeshi have?（2016年度）
How will Jane and Taro go to the movie?（2013年度）

How many 〇〇s ～　が2016・2017年で2回連続だった。

2013年度は どうやって映画に行くかを尋ねる問題。
ただし選択肢が
ア   By bike.
イ   By car.
ウ   By bus.
エ   By train.

なので、Howの意味が取れなくとも迷うことはないだろう。

bike、car、bus、trainすべて会話中に出てくる。こういう場合、最初の方に出てきた言葉は正解でないのがほとんど。今回も例外でない。

◆最近はwhen、where多し
よく出ている疑問詞がwhen。
ここ6年間で4度。

whenの疑問文は会話文を正しく聞くことはもちろん、問も正しく聞き取らねばならない。

【正答率】
2021年度　63.9％
2020年度　92.6％

2021年度が1問目のくせに正答率が低めなのは「1問目の解答がア」であり、会話のしょっぱなに答えが出てくるという珍しいパターンだったためだろう。

なお1問目でもっとも正答率が低かったのは2014年度。
なんと19.3％。四択問題なのに。

確かに選択肢が絶妙であり、引っ掛かりやすい。いい問題だが。
